WORM TEA KIT (12OZ CASTINGS PLUS 2 OZ ORGANIC SUGAR SOURCE TO GROW MICROBES) Will make 50 plus gallons of worm tea Our castings are a product not just red wiggles but several other worms to give a well rounded product. We feed our worms a variety of nutrients to grow and produce optimal castings. We are located in Kentucky and family operated. Every vegetable, shrub, tree and flower on our homestead gets treated with these castings. This is a complete fertilizer and elimates the need to buy store bought petroleum based fertilizers. DIRECTIONS: Add 6 oz castings and one packet dried molasses to 5 gallons of water. Aerate for 24 to 36 hrs for bacteria to multiply. These bacteria are what helps roots to absorb minerals and nutrients. After 24 to 36 hrs use 75% of the tea for your plants. At this point add 4 more gallons of water and sugar packet to grow more bacteria. You can repeat this process over and over. It does help to use new castings weekly but not a necessity. IMPORTANT NOTES NEVER USE TAP WATER WITH CASTINGS ( the chlorine will kill the microbes) rain water is best The microbes require aerobic conditions, this is why we aerate. Fish tank aerators work well and are under 20 dollars at most stores. Without aeration this is not a true tea. There is still value in it but not near what is in the tea. This is easy to do and promotes independence from big oil based fertilizer producers, while helping the environment. We screen castings with 1/8 screen, there is minimal debris passing thru Castings are odorless as well as the tea
