If you’re looking for the *chef’s kiss* of worm poop, I am proud to offer the finest of worm turds, from my pet worms bin. Absolute magic for your plants! Sold per one-gallon ziplock freezer bag (My cat, Ezmeralda, is gracefully posed next to the bag in the picture for scale). Of course, healthy vermicompost is very moist. This stuff is not “mud pie wet,” but it is wet and heavy. Last time I weighed one, a gallon-sized plastic baggie contained about SIX POUNDS OF WORM POOP! WOW! From my home worm bin, handlessly-crafted by many small, happy worms living their best life. It is made of primarily fruit and vegetable scraps (mostly organic, but not strictly). The worms also ate some (soy-based ink) newspapers and maple leaves for a balanced diet. I’m not a soil scientist, just a lady with a lot of small pets, but expect it contains a LOT of potassium because we eat a lot of bananas, and thus fed the worms many banana peels. It is fully decomposed, dark, moist, and rich. It may contain a few worms and definitely contains billions of healthy microorganisms. I do my best to avoid seeds. A few eggshells or similar treasures may still be visible depending on the batch you get. I update this listing as I have extra worm turds available. It is nutrient dense and wonderful for plants (inside or outside). You only need small quantities, as it is way stronger than typical compost. In a houseplant pot, you wouldn’t want to add more than a few tablespoons. In a garden, you only need a thin layer. Fun fact! Vermicompost is as much about soil life just as much as it is about nutrition! It’s not just worm turds: it is ALIVE and full of microscopic creatures that will move into your soil and convert decomposing organic matter to nutrients for your plants. I keep the baggie open and in a cool, dark place while waiting to ship, and will punch holes in the baggie before sending to keep everyone inside comfortable.
